Speyside Centre
Our Story
Speyside Centre’s journey began in 1972 when David and Betty, along with their sons Craig and Iain, ventured north to pursue their love for the Scottish countryside. Leaving behind city life, they lived in a caravan, where David worked on landscaping projects while Betty transformed a modest space into a cozy tearoom. Their dedication led to the establishment of Skye Landscapes, which eventually evolved into the Speyside Heather Centre.
Over the years, the family expanded and enhanced the centre, adding facilities and attractions to create a unique destination. Despite setbacks, such as a devastating fire in 2016 and challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic, their spirit of resilience never faltered. In spring 2020, the doors of the new Speyside Centre opened, marking a new chapter in its storied history.
